You can drive to North Carolina and buy furniture off the showroom floor, or custom order what you want, at attractive prices. SCL Studio is a design studio first, representing the same quality manufacturers. While we do have samples of furnishings from our manufacturers, we do not have showrooms full of furniture. SCL Studio is meant to enable you to get expert advice if you need it, and then custom order furnishings made just for you ,and delivered to your home.

Here’s the best part. We are 15 minutes from your home, not 5 hours. You don’t need to buy large lots, but can let your style unfold a piece at a time, taking as much time as you like. SCL Studio is your personal design studio. Come and use the studio as much or as little as you like.

It’s simple really. We leverage the buying power and reputation of SCL, so we deal directly with the manufacturers. As a new approach to buying quality furnishings, we have eliminated much of the cost of traditional furniture retailing such as large showrooms, and high costs of inventory, while providing more of what you care about like expert assistance. We keep all costs to a minimum, and pass the savings on to you.

Yes. Key to the SCL Studio concept is to help you express your unique style. While you may not need full service design assistance, perhaps you need help with proper paint selections, effective accessorizing, or designing a plan for a room. SCL Studio offers affordable, packaged design services for help where and when you need it.

What are the hours of operation for SCL Studio? Can I just stop by? Is there a fee for using the Design Studio?

SCL Studio is open Tuesday – Thursday 10AM to 4PM. Hours are limited as the studio must meet the needs of our full service design clients. There is no fee for using the Design Studio! While you can absolutely drop by, it is recommended that you call ahead to schedule an appointment, so that our staff may explain to you how to best use the resources of the studio, or help you with selection advice.
